Looking for recommendations for a 6000-7000 pack.

If I had to pick right now, it would be the Mystery Ranch Marshall. Before I pull the trigger I am wondering if anyone out there has an alternative recommendation.

I will be rifle hunting on a backpack hunt

Thanks in advance

If you want a SWEET deal on a MR Marshall (last year's), let me know. I have one I'd part with. (Yoke for someone over 6'0, waistbelt is large)

X2 on the Kifaru AMR. Ran it last season and it's awesome. Collapses good for day use and can practically fit a person inside of it.

I've worn a great many packs of all shapes, styles and sizes in my 50+ years and have become a big fan of Seek Outsides's Unaweep. This a 10 day load out in my Unaweep 6300 with Multi Lid and Talon that puts it at around 7600 cu/in.

How about Stone Glacier?

The Sky Talus 6900 with the XCurve frame is looking pretty good right now. One thing I noticed is I cannot see any specs as far as bag & frame weight listed anywhere....maybe I am missing it?

Use the "search forum" function and you'll probably find a lot of info about this topic. While MR builds a bomb proof bag, they don't get a lot of love here, mostly because of their frame design (I believe). Check out this post, good info comparing MR, Stone Glacier, and Kifaru. I use Kifaru and Exo and love them both.

Hey, thats my writeup! I'm going with the Xcurve frame this year and will be selling my Mystery Ranch Marshall. Its a medium wiast belt if you are interested PM me. Its yoke fits people from 5'6" to 6' tall, and the belt is for 29"-34" waist. If you need a large belt I'm sure Kota can help you out.

I just ordered an Unaweep 6300 largely because it is 1/2 the weight of comparably sized packs (about 3.5lbs complete with pack and frame) and can haul the same weight. The hybrid external/internal frame also can be configured to be a serious hauler for animals if needed.

Stone Glacier Sky Archer 6200, I love mine, it can handle a ton of gear, plus if you need even more space, you just expand the load shelf.
