I need an archery backstop. I’ve thought of using used conveyor belts but that has been hard for me to find. I thought of using hay bails but people tell me that always leads to injured livestock or wildlife. What are some good solutions?

Old carpet just hanging on something works pretty well. I used one fotr awhile and never had an arrow go through both layers. Seems like it wouldn't work right. Just hang loosely.

I’ve bought a cloth backstop from Amazon.

(Aoneky 2mm Archery Backstop) with a sheet of plywood behind it mounted to a 1 1/2” pvc frame for my 10 year old son to practice. Absorbs his wild arrows with no problem. Haven’t tried to send one of my arrows in it yet though.

If you can find an old faded one that someone is looking to get rid of, a hot tub cover makes a great backstop.

Oo, I think I can get an old pool liner. Maybe several layers of that would work well…and be free-ish.
