Recommend a dyneema tarp

Anyone know of a good deal on like a 7x9 or 8x10? Would use it primarily as tarp to pair w my bivy sack or as an emergency shelter for the daypack.

My rule of thumb on dyneema is ~1\2 the weight for 3x the price.

I have a couple of tarps, a couple of groundsheets and a couple of tents. Performance and durability are good. Weights savings are legit. more so for tarps. Price is what it is. Be thoughtful about your cordage and stakes. For my main tarp, I paid up ($20) for some fancy light cordage and bought some light stakes (2 mini ground hogs and 6 titanium pins) If you string it with a bunch of 550 cord and haul a dozen full size stakes, you will turn your expensive, 5oz “just in case“ tarp into something of a brick.

Mine are zpacks, mounainlaurel and hyperlite. All good options. I don’t own any dyneema from borah but am a fan of his gear.

Unfortunately, they don’t go on sale much. Also, be careful about buying used. A buddy bought a used tent and it had a lot of tears and pin holes.
