Go as large as you can fit. Freezers are like attics and gun safes. No matter the size, you will eventually fill it.
It's the Hey honey, the grocery store has chicken breasts for $1.79 a pound, lets buy 18 pounds, after all we have a freezer.
It's the Hey honey, the grocery store has chuck roast for $1.89 a pound, lets buy 14 pounds, after all we have a freezer.
And then late in the summer after you've caught 115 Dungeness crab and 47 salmon, hey honey, do we have enough? Heck no, we have a freezer, let's go out again.
