Recheck Zero After Removing and Installing Stock?

I was messing with my trigger today on a zero’d rifle. I had to remove the stock to do the work and reinstalled it and torqued action screws to spec.

Now I’m concerned I might not be zero’d anymore cause I removed and reinstalled the stock. I’ve got a zero’d backup rifle for this weekends rifle opener.

Would yall go on an opening weekend hunt with a rifle you removed and reinstalled the stock?

Do you have a bedded stock? If so, and you torqued things down properly, I'd think you'd be good to go.

I do this often with my manners stocks with mini chassis and never give it a second thought. Haven't ran into any issues at this point.

No just a B&C M40 stock. Rifle shoots so never did a bed job.

This is a Howa Mini 6 ARC so I’ll just take my Tikka UPR 6.5 CM.

I literally just did this with my Rokstock for the paintjob.
Re-installed & re-torqued it exactly as before.
My initial confirmation shots were .3mil low & .2mil left
I'm incredibly glad I checked!

Yeah I’m not going to risk it. I don’t have time to hit the range again so I’ll take my Tikka.

You're probably good to go, but I'd re-zero just for the confidence.

I completely swapped a stock on my Bergara this season, from the factory one to a AG carbon fiber stock. When I went to take off the old stock I found that the screws were not torqued at all...figured there would be a big shift. After installing the new one I checked zero, I was less than 1 moa off on the windage.

If its not bedded well its not zeroed any more. Even if bedded it’s hard to trust until
It’s been disassembled, put back together, and maintains zero a couple times.
