As I stated, the mortality rate shouldn't be what concerns you. I have patients who've struggled with long covid and they were younger, stronger, and healthier than you when they became infected.

I too choose to live a healthy life, exercise, and have really good genetics to boot. I also work in healthcare, have a registered dietician and strength coach on my staff (she decided to get the shots too.) I'm all for personal responsibility in health, none of which precludes one from also accepting a covid vaccine.

The rest of your post is irrational egotistical gibberish in the form of a strawman argument.
Funny...keep trolling

I turned down the vaccine today when the VA asked me if I wanted it. I remember when the Army gave me an anthrax shot that had six years of testing before they recalled it......
man, i got so much crap running in these veins from deployment requirements/shots--smallpox, anthrax, influenza, blah, blah...I'm done with it unless the next pending virus has much higher mortality rate.

I'm not trolling, I'm teaching.

I honestly don't care what you do, nor what your consequences are, or aren't. Not even a little bit.

Once vaccines are widely available, I completely switch gears to FYIGM.

My daughter and I took the J&J today. At about 10-12 hours I started feeling off - chills, body aches and headache. My daughter felt the same things an hour or two earlier. Going to bed early. Feels like my first night when I had the virus, but I’m optimistic it will be over in the morning.

I watched it. My conclusion was “gonna be interesting to see how this vax thing plays out”. Real talk from a Dr, probably deemed a quack by msm.
Say what? In the first 10 seconds he’s wrong. COVID has been here over a year and it is still here. 6 to 8 months? We’re going to double that if not more.

When he’s says it seasonal he means all four seasons I’m guessing. Then he’d be right.

I‘ll listen these guys.

I got my 2nd dose of the Pfizer on Thursday. Started feeling weird around 7pm Thursday evening. Went to bed feeling like I had a sinus infection. Had a seizure around 1am. First one I’ve ever had in my life. Scared me and the wife pretty bad. Went to the ER and was released yesterday. Ran a fever from Thursday evening until Friday around lunch. Still feeling like I have a cold.

FWIW, I’m 32 years old, I run, exercise, do BJJ, etc. I would say I’m in above average shape and I watch my diet due to a family history of having terrible hearts. I gave blood in December and tested positive for the antibodies. I’ve had multiple exposures over the past year and I’ve never even felt like I had a headache. Had I known that I’d have had the reaction I had, I would’ve never gotten the shots. Luckily, my wife hadn’t gotten hers yet.

My wife got her second shot (Moderna) yesterday, no symptoms with the first shot (slight sore arm), she was very nauseous last night, got a fever and bad chills- bad enough still this morning she called in sick, hoping for a improvement by morning.

I get my second Pfizer tomorrow afternoon, have a snowshoe trip planned leaving early Friday morning, so here's hoping my second was like my first :)

Well my trip didn't go exactly as planned (couldn't get through a mountain notch to drop into another drainage), but my symptoms weren't too bad- sore arm Thursday night and then on Friday evening felt like my joints were hurting. Although I can't say with certainty that it was the shot or 17 miles and ~ 4000' of gain :D
