Depending on the unit and time of year that might not be legal. You might have to bone them out.
To be clear I have never hunted in Alaska. Was born there and moved to the Yukon at 11. Grew up and hunted in the Yukon. So don't know Alaska regs at all. Thanks for the info.Depending on the unit and time of year that might not be legal.
I’ve packed moose quarters before but we used a pack frame. My kifaru would be much more comfortable. Do you know about how wide a rear quarter is?It'll prob fit (width and girth) but you'll need to cut the lower leg off below the Achilles tendon so the hoof doesn't wack ya or catch on brush overhangs.
Depending on the unit and time of year that might not be legal.
Sure, but that's a far cry from boning out a quarter.no legal reason in any GMU to have to include anything below the achilles or the shanks.
This was off a 43” bullDo any of you know if a rear moose quarter from an Alaskan bull will fit inside of a kifaru reckoning?
