Real World Light Boots VS Heavy Boots

Do heavier guys generally need a more stiff boot? Lets say 235-250 lbs and a 40 to 60 lb pack?
thinking this because their weight and leverage on the boot will flex it more...

kind of what I'm asking...is stiffness somewhat relative to a person's size/weight?
certainly will be more supportive and stable for sure.

I’ve inherited a pair of the L&S encompass. I’ve been using them off and on most of this summer rucking, I switch between them, a Scarpa grand dru and a broken in pair of lowa evo extreme.

The Scarpa are breaking me I think.

The encompass definitely feel more comfortable and I feel I can go longer with them. I still get some plantar fasciitis flair up but not too bad. I feel more nimble in technical terrain and I also feel they grip loose larger rock better. The potential down side might be long term durability, but time will tell. I did lose an eyelet bearing so far but doesn’t affect the boot.

I’m taking them on an elk hunt October.
