So I have a pair of boots that failed way prematurely (around 200miles, by 220 they were gone, I’m 95% sure of mileage as I went through and looked at my Garmin gps tracks for Hunts I wore them on).
First thing I’ll address is that these are well outside standard 1year warranty and I had contacted the company but never heard back. With that said when I contacted them I clearly called out that I was outside of 1 year but still wanted to make them aware that they failed around 200 mile mark.
I bought these over winter in prep for following season (on sale) and also having other boots that I wear depending on the hunt/season it was over a year by the time they failed.
With that out of the way my question is to those who had luck resoling boots: do you think these can be resoled and bonus if you can recommend someone in Colorado (Denver/Front range)
Boot itself is still in good shape so it sux that failed sole won’t let me wear it any longer
I did just recently go to Doran’s Shoes and their tech said they cannon do such type of sole repair.
Basically once the black sole layer separated from mid-sole foam it started getting torn up real quick and on a long 3 day scouting trip last fall I walked out with chunks missing

Any recommendations if this can be saved? Figured if it cost $100 it may be worth it. Otherwise i really like the boot. And rest of it is still in great shape.

You could try Whitesides in south Loveland. They're located around 287 and 402.

Otherwise I think you're shipping them. Dave Page in Seattle does resoles and Lowa's warranty shop is now somewhere in the Northeast.

Personally, I don't think it's worth trying to save them. I've never had a resole done but have paid to try to salvage boots and it's not been worthwhile.

Some years ago Dave Page resoled a pair of Asolo's boots, one of which had the sole falling off. They were out of warranty but had been worn very little. Probably less than 40 miles. I contacted Asolo and included pics showing the condition of the boots. They stood behind them and had me send them to Dave Page who properly glued new soles on both boots as a warranty repair. Years later, after I had worn out the soles he put on, I sent them back to Dave for new soles. He told me the uppers were too worn to be resoled and returned them at no cost. Can't beat that service.

Try the manufacturer first. Glued shoes like this its often that foam layer that is the issue, so it may need more than just the rubber sole replaced. Even if they wont cover it as a warranty, they may have a company they use that has access to their soles and midsoles.

Otherwise, on the front range, go to one of the shops that does rock climbing shoe resoles, the only type they do is glued down soles. In person they may say no, but theres a good bet they’ll do it.
Its been a long time since I lived there, but if you call neptunes in boulder or bent gate in golden they can steer you to a resoler who does this.
