Looking to upgrade from my current rangefinder (Swarovski Optik Laser Guide 8x30).

Budget is $300-$500. Looking for something that accounts for incline/decline and displays the true distance to target, Low-light performance is a must. Tripod adaptable. Non-reflective target readings out to 800-1000 yards.

My old Leica crf-1600 runs circles around my new kilo 5k optically, I mean big azz circles, but the ranging power and solutions the sig kicks Leica azz. The kicker is when I tried the kilo 6k compact bino....done with handhelds period. Even if I go back to mountain hunting my 8x32 kilo 6k is primary and when glassing sit down then alpha goes on tripod. The low light visibility on the kilo6 bino way better and the actual ability to two hand range is different league than one handed. Just saying. If you gotta go one handed go Leica. If you can bump up to a bino do it. Have two handhelds reserved for the kids now, I’m done with them. The kilo 5k cant compete with the 6k bino in actual usability and low light.

Go two hands as soon as you can.
