I'm in the market for a new rangefinder in the under $400 range. Saw what looks to be a good deal on a Nikon Laser 50 but can't find much in the way of reviews on them. I've been impressed with my older Nikon scopes so thought this may be a decent option but was looking for feedback.

Where I hunt the longest I'd usually be ranging is 600 yards with most of it being 300 yards or less. I'd use this for both archery and rifle. My priorities are:

1. Good glass (I often only take a rangefinder with me instead of binos)
2. Prefer a 7x but could probably live with 6x
4. Red reticle - Currently trying to see the readout in my Bushnell at low light is challenging
3. Angle comp - I have a Burris Oracle on my crossbow which takes care of this for me so this is a little lower priority.

Currently the ones I've been looking at are:

- Nikon Laser 50 - on sale for $199
- Vortex Viper 3000 - ~$300 but have had mixed luck with my Vortex scopes
- Maven CRF1 - ~$300
- Leica 2400 - ~$400

Any thoughts on what my best option would be?
