In the market for a mid range rangefinder...
Anyone have any experiance with the diamondback HD 2000 and the Maven CRF.1 ?
They seem to be in similar price range. Vortex advertized specs look better but not sure if that translates into real world experiance?

Any input appreciated.

I am also interested in this. Recently picked up a friend's diamonback 2000 and it seemed way lighter and more accurate than my ten year old Vortex Ranger 1000. Very timely post.

We own very few vortex products in our family, but all of us run the newer gen vortex RF’s except for 2 brothers. We have 1 razor, 1 viper, and 3 diamondbacks. All outperform their advertised ranges with ease. I’ve gotten ranges beyond 3k with my viper on trees, and I know my brother has ranged beyond 2k with his diamondback. We’ve all had them basically since they got released, and have been incredibly impressed and happy. They’re exponentially superior to the sigs, kahles’, Nikons, bushnell, and older vortex models we all used previously, without question.

If you can swing it, the viper can be had on sales for not much more than the typical retail price of the viper. But if you can’t or if you just need to buy now, the diamondback is great.
