Ramshot LRT

Does anyone have any experience with this powder?

I’ve been looking at it, but no experience. I exchanged a couple of emails with them about it for my application (30 Nosler with 181 gr Hammer Hunters), probably not a good powder for me. Ramshot Magnum seems to be more suitable for my application.

I was thinking of using it in a 26 Nosler...my stash of H50BMG is not going to last forever!

It’s slow, if you have a heavy projectile and a long enough barrel, I would imagine you could get some benefit. That’s just my understanding with zero experience LOL

Bump this up to the top. I would like to hear of anyone's experience with this as well.

I am just about out of retumbo for my 338 RUM and picked up a couple jugs of this today. Ramshot says it was developed for the 338 lapua and has similar burn rates to RL33.

I think I am going to pick up some 265gr accubonds and see if I can make them work.

I'm just gonna throw this out there since I couldn't find much on it when I was looking.

I've been working on a load for my 338 rum using LRT. I seam to have found a sweet spot at:

100.0 grains of LRT
285 grain eldm
cci 250
velocities average 2779 fps sub moa @100

I have a 30 Sherman Mag that I tested LRT in with the 215 bergers. It got great velocity matching rl26 & n570. But I put some rounds in the freezer and a 56* drop in temperature from 96* to 40* showed a 133fps drop in velocity, so it is temp sensitive.
