This has been the worst customer service experience I have ever dealt with and would not recommend buying one of their bikes. It looks like this has happened before, but I am curious if anyone else has had the same scenario and what would you do? Or what could you do? I purchased what was supposed to be a 2022 Pursuit, after the excitement of getting the bike and not knowing a whole lot about them I continued to ride and test it out. Almost every ride I took it on, it seemed some plastic part would brake or some screw would come loose and fall out. This is where the story starts, I contacted customer service and tried to explain the three issues I was having. One got answered and it was more or less, take a picture and send to us. Well this process took some time to even get a response once I sent the picture. The part that was broke, eventually was replaced months later. Once I received the replacement part, it has wear and tear right out of the package and shows signs of the same problem I am already having. Put the part on and immediately I am having the same issues.

What came to be is I received the 2021 model, unknowingly to me. I purchased the 2022 because it has 8 speeds and not 3. Not to mention, now that I have the 2021 model, I cannot get it properly function. When asked why did I receive the 2021 model, when I thought what I purchased was in the pictures online and those specs, their response "they probably just had some leftover stock". So what would you do?

Sorry you had the experience you did. All these popup companies like Quietkat rambo and bakcou are incredibly overpriced junk. They design nothing. They go to the Chinese market and source all there mostly low to mid range parts, then up price it to an asinine degree.
Companies like trek and specialized have been in the game a long long time. They know bikes.

Junk. I have one and hate it. $2500 rickety POS. You gotta spend twice that to get a decent E MTB, and 3x that for a good one.

I've used one for work. We bought 2 and both had issues - mainly random but important pieces falling off, including pedals, handlebars, etc. They have had problems with very little use. I imagine with mileage and harder use more issues (battery, etc...) will present.
Would not recommend

Well, sucks some of us have been through the same thing, but at the same time glad I'm not the only one with the bad experience and shows its the product and not the user. Appreciate the input everyone. For some reason, I was thinking at one point they were a Rokslide sponsor. Sure hope Rokslide doesn't work with companies like this.

Bummer. I just got an M2S ultra HT last week I finally got to mess with.

Specs are very similar to higher end Rambo/bakcou/etc but closer to half the cost. Same Chinese components but so far I’ve been fairly happy. It’s more power than I am comfortable with on a trail bike right now. Had it 30mph headed up a steal hill this weekend. Checking battery usage now.

Anyone a good alternative for those looking to get in game for a bit less $$.

I have a friend who bought one last year and he had about 20 miles on the thing before the battery exploded and almost started a huge forest fire. Was lucky he was able to keep the thing off of the ground while the battery was spewing flames as it was just as CA was turning from green to brown.

He said that the customer service was terrible but eventually got his money refunded.

So I had a really good customer service experience with them, but I will say that was 2 years ago. I bought a floor model from them and it had some issues. They sent me a brand new bike as a replacement for the floor model.

Yes, the statements above are accurate about chinese garbage components...but I did go in knowing that and have replaced the critical parts I knew I didn't want to mess with. I've used the bike hard for 3 hunting seasons and I love it.

If I had it to do again I would buy a mid-drive frame and build the bike myself component by component.

Giant makes a reasonably priced emtb (reasonable is relative) That said, if you don't want junk, you kind of have to pay for the good stuff. You can get into a Giant Talon Hardtail for under $3k. Specialized has some decent "cheaper" ones. Add some racks and panniers and you are good to go. Plus specialized and Giant(and other reputable brands) have a nationwide dealer network to help get things fixed that go wrong.

Well thanks, I did not do any type of build post, but there is a YouTuber that gave me the confidence to do the job myself,
Johnny nerd out, on YouTube.
Check out his channel, everything you need to know about converting the bikes, he’ll even do it for you for a fee.

I hate y’all have had such bad experience. I love my two and have had great customer service. My brother in law had a drive cable come loose on his bushwhacker and they sent him a nomad to replace it and laid shipping both ways. My wife popped a chain monkeying with the gears. They over nighted me a replacement chain under warranty.

My brother has two Rambo bikes and I didnt think they were that great for the price of the bikes.
My wife and I ordered two bikes this spring. She went with the rad wagon and I went with a himiway zebra. I chose the zebra due to the larger battery capacity. It has a 20.5 amp hour battery vs 14.5 on her wagon. I think my brothers Rambo bikes had like a 12.5 amp hour battery.
I will say I really like the zebra, its a beast. It has signifcantly more torque than her rad wagon, faster, 35% more battery capacity, a larger carrying capacity and was about $1900.

My Rambo has a 14ah battery top speed 32mph. With hills involved. 35 miles on a charge no pedaling and it says 300lb on the bike and 100lb on the cart but I’ve went up hill with a walking boot on with me 240, my son 110 and my daughter 75 and his bike another 30. I got mine on a big sale. I got the savage, a deer cart, back rack, front rack, large basket and fenders for 2400. With all that said. There are allot of bikes out there. Everyone will have different experiences. My brother in law has a krusader I am not a fan. Way more torque. Less miles per charge.

Do you even own a Bakcou? My experience with the Mule 1000 is completely positive, no plastic junk and superior support. They set the customer care bar so high other bike companies need to charter a plane just to see it.

The Bafang Ultra is a huge leap forward. No nylon or plastic...built for abuse.

Final note: The Mule is designed SPECIFICALLY FOR HUNTING. It's not the fastest (mine goes 35mph on the flat w/o much peddling and 300lb load (me and pack-no trailer) but it does live up to its name. It is designed for hauling stuff thru the backcountry...on and off the trail. It's tough, reliable and built from the ground up specifically for hunting (unlike other bikes that were "modified" to appeal to hunters). Balcou is worth every penny.
