Rainy day boredom

I've been flirting with the idea of painting my bow OD Green for quite some time, finally decided today was they day and bought the 18 bucks in materials to make it happen. I didn't put a clear coat on it as I wasn't sure I'd like it, but I think once hunting season ends I'm gonna find someone that can tear down my bow for me so I can strip the riser down to bare aluminum and have it powder coated OD green.

Here's the finished product:

I wish I had taken before pics, it was just black on black. It's not a professional job, but it'll do.

I love the flat colored bows... OD green, matte black (color of my bow), and the desert sand khaki color.
I like the offsetting black limb pockets, cams, and limbsavers.

Ever thought about cerakote for the riser?

Cerakote would be bitchin! Looks good! I think a matte multicam dip would be sweet also!

I did some work on a used Bowtech that I bought last summer. I had my limbs and quiver hood dipped in multicam and I had the red modules cerakoted in flat dark earth. The riser is flat black and I have kiwi/tan strings that I haven't installed yet. I hate non camo colors on hunting bows.

Just wondering what paint and prep work you did?

Just sanded it and taped it off then painted it with Camo green krylon paint.

I like it, I have often thought about doing that same thing to my Hoyt GM II.

Sweet. That's what I was hoping to hear. My wallet can handle that way more than cerakote or kolorfusion right now. Thanks!
