I have to wonder what the average attendee age is. This is 1960s, Boomer-Hippie ideals, which largely died out in the 80s. I’m imagining a bunch of dreadlocked relics hobbling around. Do train kids and gutterpunks attend Rainbow Gatherings? Also, how much will attendance be effected by fuel prices?

we have a 7 day folk festival around here and it attractive to all of the above!
when the rainbow people showed up @ Sam Houston NP , it overwhelmEd the emergency system, people where breaking into garages and houses scavenging for food, the lake was contaminated with
human waste!

I was shocked to see this in an article today- some of the "organizers" of the rainbow people are/were actually county commissioners. wtf.

It is infuriating that this group uses / abuses public land without much consequence. Additionally, ridiculous that local government officials would have the audacity to be involved. I realize this person is not stated as being involved this year at this location, but dang.

Have some compassion for these refugees in exile from the beautiful country of CHAZ/CHOP. My guess is a lot of syringes and "surface shitters" . Probably would be an awesome area to train in some new German shepherd K-9 units , although probably have to wash the poor dogs mouth out with bleach after chewin' on some of those folks.

Don't know if someone has an inside contact ( I sure don't)....let the rainbows know Boulder is offering to host this event. They should know bear ears area has lots of wild animals that will attack or eat them....AND Monkeypocks!!
