Quick Setup wall tent - Davis GO Tent, 10x15, etc

Anyone have a Davis Go Tent or Davis 10x15 tent that they use for 2-3 people that could share pics or experience? Or even the Kodiak Lodge tents. Looking to use with a stove. I had a traditional 12x14 wall tent with a conduit frame that I sold and looking for something a little smaller and quicker to setup. This would be mainly for me and my 2 boys, who could use disco bunk cots if necessary.

I bought an Ellis 12x12 Prairie tent this year and really like it so far. Only 6 stakes and 10 minutes to set up by myself. I did have to seal the seams to stop a couple of small leaks. My nephew borrowed it for our elk season and sure likes it. You could fit 3 cots easily plus the wood stove etc.

That's a pretty cool tent

I have a Davis go tent it’s been on 3 hunts. You could make 3 work, it would be tight and with a stove. Sorry probably not much help as I have no photos.
2 cots and the stove with gear in the middle would work just fine. I’m having a hard time imagining 3 cots, the stove with gear.

I’m a big fan of the Teton by Reliable tent. They are made in Billings MT. I have extensive use on the 10x10 which is perfect for 2 guys and a stove. Would recommend the 12x12 if your gonna have 3 guys

Solo set up takes me about 10min.

Here's my recent setup with a Davis GoTent. First pic is looking from the door and second is from back wall by window.

As you can see we had our cots in a L shape in the back. We had a table in between the one cot and the stove. The gap between the stove and the cot is 4 feet at the most.

We also had a 4 foot table at the foot of the other cot. It blocked one side of the door but it did not bother us.

Overall 2 people with a stove in the Go Tent is absolutely doable. Hope this helps.

I really like my Kodiak Canvas 12x12. Having the extra height compared to a Davis go-tent is nice. I have it down to where I can set it up by myself in 20 minutes.

love my Kodiak, but not stove compatible. Check out Snow Trekker or Alaska Gear Company. Sold my Go Tent because of weight and head space.

The Kodiak cabin tents are stove compatible. You're thinking of the Flex Bows, and you can certainly add a stove jack to those as well. Just have to do those yourself.

Ahh didn’t see he was talking about the lodge version as I have the Flexbow. I know people that have retrofitted them but I personally wouldn’t. My Snow trekker packs completely (poles & canvas) down into a 25 gallon tote. Can have it erected in 15 minutes.

Here some other options

I’m thinking about a 16’ Bell Tent( not sure which brand yet) or a Teton 12x12x4 from Reliable Tent. Any suggestions?

I have a bell tent from canvas camp. It’s been a great tent and its super easy to set up as 1 person. I have the 450 which I believe is 4.5 meter diameter. It’s plenty of room for two and a stove. The only thing I don’t like is the stove is pretty small that they sell with it. That can be fixed though

Do you pack it in on horses/mules? How many people and a stove would fit in your tent? I have been looking at Elk Mountain, Stout and White Duck bell tents. White Duck’s is the only one with the floor sewn in, the other two zip in.

This looks about perfect. Just missed their sale too! That's alright, purchase is going to be tag dependent. Wish I could find some videos for their tents. Do you have the 4' walls?

I have a elk mountian and it's been great. I keep the floor in for truck camping and remove the floor when packing on horses to save weight It has worked good so far and I cut poles to set it up when using with horses I would recommend a tent fly so the snow slides off it

What size is your Elk Mountain? How many people with a stove will it fit? How hard is it to setup without the floor in it? Sorry for all the questions, this tent picking thing is killing me. 😂
