Just confirming before I order the Warne maxima rings made for the tikka t3 - the medium height is what I should get if my objective lens is 40mm, correct?

I have a 42 mm objective, and the medium height leaves enough room to put the Butler lens cover on the front. You should be good to go with a 40 mm objective and the medium height rings.

Just a word of warning on the warne rings. I know a lot of guys run em on their Tikka's but I had a complete failure. I have an 06' t3 and was out for first rifle last year. the second day of the season had a decent 5x5 in crosshairs at about 350 yds. noticed by scope "jiggle" a bit so investigated. turns out that the small lug pin locking the front ring to the rail had come through the front of the ring base. lost out on an elk last year from it. Now to be fair- not sure if this happened from sighting in (though it was dead on when I last put it away 2 days before the season started) or maybe from lugging it around or travel. We were in some nasty deadfall. Anyway, I am now running a mountain tactical picatinny rail with the steel lug. I will post pics of the failure if I can find my maxxima rings (pretty sure I didnt throw them over a cliff, though felt like it).
