1. Could I add the mystery ranch daypack lid on the top of the Cabinet?( since it change from NICE frame to Guide Light frame, missing some buckles)

2. If I can add it by using some ACCESSORY STRAPS on the mystery ranch website, how many ACCESSORY STRAPS should I buy?

3.MR Guide light frame VS Kifaru duplex frame, which one is more comfortable when you have heavy load??

Thank you for your experiences! :D:D:D

I don't thick you can put a lid on it. I looked into the attachment points on the new bag and didn't see a way. Which is too bad.

MR Cabinet

It can be done i have the exact set up it just locks into the top rear outside bag and where that bag attaches to the top of the frame. Works great with a 35l dry bag for extended trips. I also added EXO hip belt pouches and the exo weapon carrier. Makes a great all around pack

Could you please put some pics to show how it works? That would be great help!!!!!

I just threw a couple things in it so you could get an idea how it looks... With the addition of a couple of 36" extra compression straps its about as good as a multiple use pack as it gets.
Carries weight very well no issues getting a quarter into it this year plenty of room

awesome man! thank you so much! by the way, what's the bag in the pics, Cabinet or Crew Cab? It looks like the Crew Cab with nice frame to me, maybe I am totally wrong.

its the new Cabinet with the guide light frame. Its basically the new crew cab

Great! Actually I email the stuff of MR, they told me the Cabinet and Guide light frame wouldn't work with the daypack lid. After seeing your pics, I believe this set up will work. So how many extra compression straps I should buy from MR website to complete this set up?

it works just fine you don't need extra straps for the lid. If you want to strap your bow or rifle on the two compression straps can go the the frame. you can order them from mr for 5.00 each. with the addition of a dry bag you can get the set up to 5500ci pack no problems

one more question, you can see the pics, on the frame of the Crew Cab,there is a touch point, which is used to connect the daypack lid. But on the Cabinet, it's gone. so how could I connect the daypack lid on the top of the Cabinet??

This is great. I am looking to pick up a lid and run that same set up now. Thank you for sharing and explaining.

If you’re wanting to run a day pack you might look into a Mule bag with a guide lid. That’s what I did and it give you the extra storage you would need plus still has the overload shelf capability.

If you want to economize an ilbe lid will fit right on a guide light. You can get some female buckles on a loop from ov innovations if you need to and loop them over the frame where you need them. They are called filbe top buckle adapters. The ilbe lid has pals webbing so you can add some pouches to customize it for quick access items.
