Questionable SWFA 10x42 binoculars?

I’d be interested in trying them out. $299 is steep. I put it in my shopping cart hoping they’d send me a discount code like some places do…. No such luck.

Primary arms also has a binocular line now. Both places need to get units in hands of reviewers. There are plenty of people out there who have at least a vague baseline trust in their ability to do budget optics, but that only goes so far.

The SWFA binos are a known quantity. The Kenko model has been around for a long time and is generally well regarded for its price. It has dielectric coatings but no ED glass. I've thought about picking up a pair of the Kenkos for a while, but I've got kids and don't want something without good warranty service. I'd gladly buy these from SWFA, but for what they are I think $300 is kind of expensive. There are lots of models in that price range that look better at least on paper.
