Hi All,
I picked up a Browning Western Hunter in 6.5 CM at Scheels today. I really liked the weight and feel of it. I have a Winchester SX3 with the Duratouch coating and have never experienced issues with it wearing off. Have any of you had experience with the coating on a rifle? Did it wear off or has it held up pretty well?

My buddy has a SX3 with the coating and his is rubbing off after 8 years. But mine is still in great condition and shows no signs of wear. I really liked the rifle and am thinking of picking it up.

Duratouch makes a nice handle to hold on to - 8 years ? If that shotgun has seen even moderately hard use that is pretty darn good

Ya like I said, mine has held up great. I have the Duck Blind Camo model, he got the grey shadow. Wonder if that has anything to do with it.

Just curious if others have had great experience like myself or if they have seen similar issues.

It was a little while back but last i had heard B&C stopped using that coating. Wonder why ?

Ya that's why I posted. I think it's a great feeling coating but if it's going to rub off in 5 years not sure I want it on my gun.
