Question for you dry tubmlers

I was tired of the dust on everything in my reloading area which is why I stopped. Anymore I just don't hardly clean my brass.

Dryer sheets or paper towels will collect the dust. Not sure of the method if its just contact or static, but it works well.

If if I can't wash my hands with soap and water:
- the only reason I tumble

I use Lyman walnut media when I tumble and never have any dust issues. I do wipe the one shot off though and it can get kinda nasty. I'm probably using too much.

For dryer sheets they need to be used. Don't use brand new ones. Roll the brass in a towel afterwards and it will be fine.

I'm a pet store crushed walnut guy myself, unsure how that compares to corncob for dust.
Another vote for tumbling with a used dryer sheet.
I will also take media that has had a few uses and pour it between two buckets a few times on a breezy (not windy) day and let some of the dust blow away.
Otherwise I don't worry about dust on the brass.

My half baked theory is the dust acts as a dry lube for seating bullets

I dont do anything about it. Its fine
I dont consider my cases very dusty when I handle them though either. I just use harbor freight walnut shells
same, in fact I recently tumbled a couple batches of virgin Starline brass for this reason...also they felt a bit greasy from the package.

so you stick the dryer sheets ect... in the tumbler its self or the media separator used after the cases have tumbled for a while.

Put it in the tumbler , used dryer sheets. Then toss them after each batch.

Im also a little anal and once ive put them through the media seperator I hit them with the air compressor mix them around and hit them again concentrating on the inside of the cases as well for any stuck media. I do that a couple times

put the sheets in the tumbler. the open pores in the sheets will collect some of the dust. after each tumble throw them away.

- Used dryer sheets (cut in half) .
- Zilla walnut bedding media, run it on the back patio where a little wind gets to it (pro tip: get those cheap wall timers and set for 2hrs for "set it and forget it").
- Separate into 5gal bucket using a $1.99 large collainder.
- Dump back into tumber with a 1ft pour height and let the wind carry off the smallest particles.
