Hey guys,

I've been looking for a 2014-2018 Tundra Double Cab for months, they're very hard to find. I've come across a 2015 SR5 with 49k miles. I'm hoping to see it this weekend. What are the things I should look for as far as red flags when I inspect it? Are there particular weak points/aspects? I'm aware of the cam tower leak and I am fairly confident I know how/where to look for it. But I'm wondering as well about rust, particular wear items, etc.

Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

only place on body I see rust on the regular that Id consider premature is in the bottom of the bed. There is a seam that is sealed and painted over on each side of the bed deck...some sort of foam on bottom side. Holds salt/water and causes rust through on the bed.
If its a flex fuel truck, the fuel switching valve on top of fuel tank is know to rust though abd leak fuel.
Frame rust no the issue it was on 1st Gen, but it can still happen in the right environment, that goes for anything truck anymore though.

Shouldn't me much to worry about on a 50k mile Tundra if its not been abused, neglected or wrecked and hacked back together.
Service trans fluid a couple times and coolant exchange around 50k,oil change every 5k with good oil/filter, check diff/tcase fluids and air filter every so often and roll on for another 50k and repeat adding fresh plugs then, maybe a water pump around 100-150k...should be pretty uneventful short of frequent refueling if it's got the smaller tank.
