Well, you are the one who complained of your toes hitting the ends of the boots and then ask if you really needed a bigger size.

Glad you like the Meindls.

I wasn't complaining about it. I was curious to see how many people had issues with Lowas running small for them in their usual sizes. but hey. View attachment 35006

FWIW- European boots are built/sized on the European system. Sizing differential comes from a combination of the interpolation of EU sizing into US and the vagaries of each manufacturer's lasts.

So, i had a pair of rangers that were small in a sz 9D and i just got a pair of tibets in 9.5D and my toes are still hitting the top of the toe box. Do i really have to go to a 10? i just bought a pair of cabelas meindl alaskan hunters in 9 and fit great. i'm just about to say screw lowa.

I'm not understanding why you would dislike a particular brand of boot because of a "number" ? if they fit and feel good wear them, if they don't get rid of 'em

I'm a loyal Lowa fan, period. They just work for me and I'm picky about my boots. After years of wearing them I with great results, I don't want anything else.

I recently went to the Camino. I have a wide foot and ordered my normal 12 but in a extra wide. The boot feels great, but I sent them back and had them send me a 11.5 because the 12 was just too long. After trying the 11.5 it seems a bit too long as well, so heck I'm just gonna have them ship me a 11 to try. The shipping, etc. really isn't a big issue for me. I don't really care what it takes to get my boot fit right, because that's as important to my hunt as anything else that I will do in preparation.

But that's just me.

I'm glad i'm not the only one having this issue. I'm trying not to break the bank. I should just bought the Lowas from REI so I can keep trading out for the right size. The one good thing about having a cabelas near by. the wife already been on my ass about the boots lol the Meindls seem to be working great so far. a little wiggle room in the heels but not enough to make me worry. the Lowa lock my heels in like a vise. They're nice and broken in but the toe thing is bugging me. I might just put them up for sale in the classifieds and try lowa through REI when these meindls wear out in a few years.

I was in the same boat with the caminos. Sized down a 1/2 size and BOOM like clouds on my feet. After trying literally a dozen other boots I'm really happy with my wide caminos.
