Quality undercarriage washer?

What you need is a pit of fresh water to drive through. Something with a fresh water source so it is continually recharged and the salt that comes off is diluted. Then you'll get great practice replacing your u-joints.

LOL, there's no such thing as fresh water in Iowa. Not on the surface anyways.

I love pressure washing things - the instant gratification seeing things go from mud caked to clean warms my heart. I’ve also had more electrical and ujoint problems than anyone I’ve ever known. I’ve given up cleaning with soap, but still rinse the mud off with low pressure.

With wax undercoating high pressure takes it off faster, but it’s easy to touch up when new rust appears. It’s not uncommon to spray regular old chainsaw bar oil once a year for rust, but the paraffin wax rust preventative smells better and lasts longer. I made the mistake of using black-colored wax under coat and working on anything is extra messy, but from a distance it does look better. The spray guns for wax coatings have come way down in price and also work for bar oil.

Without a rust preventer wax or oil, my old ford would age 20x as fast around salt covered roads. It’s just so hard to resist washing it off. lol
