I'm getting real close to pulling the trigger on a Western Mountaineering Versalite bag. My only concern is that my whole life I've been a stomach sleeper, and even though lately I've been trying to condition myself to fall asleep on my back, I usually wake up on my stomach. For those who have/have used this bag, would the full down collar be annoying/a nuisance if I were to roll around in the night and wake up on my stomach? Will I wake up because my breathing is getting restricted if I'm on my stomach and the down collar is resting or pushing up against my throat?

No I dont think so. Im a stomach sleeper and have a WM Antelope. No issues with it.

But.... I also am going to get a quilt because im a stomach sleeper.

I don't think you'll have a problem with it, I don't. But I don't toss and turn as much when I'm in a sleeping bag and on a sleeping pad as I do in a regular bed. The down collar is so light and fluffy, it definitely won't restrict your breathing if you do manage to get turned around. More than likely as you're turning the bag will also turn and at most the collar will end up on the side.

i woke up like that in this bag this weekend. the hood is a bit of a nuisance in that situation but not the collar. the collar is a godsend when the mercury really dips.

Thanks for all the replies guys. Debating now between the versalite and a zpacks bag. Decisions, decisions...
