Hey, I'm looking for some input on a good pump style water filter to be used in a base camp.
Currently we have been using a Katadyn ceradyn drip filter but have had nothing but issues with the filters breaking, They are pretty fragile and we have broken a few buy bumping the filter system in the back of a truck while loading up our gear, and have also cracked two in freezing weather. They are getting too expensive to replace, so I'm looking at switching to a pump style filter.
I want a pump style filter to use while canoeing ect as well. I won't be using it while backpacking so weight is not a big concern of mine. I have looked into the sawyer filters, but have read that they are really bad at breaking in freezing weather.
So what are the good ones?
