My Thermion is only 2 months old, it often has a really green hue or tint on the screen that maybe seems to get worse in cold weather. A couple nights ago at 20 F the tint was pretty bad... The tint is not impacted by changing from white hot to black hot.

Video recordings are what I would call normal contrast.

Has anyone else experienced this? Is it a settings issue??

Thanks

  • Check Settings: Ensure that the color palette and brightness/contrast settings are properly adjusted. Sometimes, tweaking these settings can help reduce the green tint.
  • Firmware Update: Make sure your device has the latest firmware installed. Manufacturers often release updates to fix bugs and improve performance.
  • Calibration: Perform a calibration (NUC) to reset the sensor and improve image quality.
  • Contact Support: If the issue persists, consider reaching out to Pulsar's customer support for further assistance. They may have additional solutions or recommend a repair if necessary.

Bringing this thread back to life with some updates and curious if anyone else has experienced the internal display/screen developing a green tint/hue.

I did send my scope in for a warranty claim. Pulsar/Sellmark confirmed "poor display quality" or something along those lines and replaced the display screen. They tested it before sending it back, looked great; and it looked great when I received it back as well. I put it in the gun safe for a couple of months since I wasn't using it in the summer.

I got it out a few weeks ago, and the green tint is back again. Getting back in touch with the warranty department again soon. They were great to work with the first go round.. hoping for a similar experience this time, but I'm also very curious why this has happened twice now when I can't really find any similar experiences elsewhere online.

Yes I have the same issue!

I'm glad to hear there's at least one other person in the world having this issue, but bummed for you!

Pulsar costumer service said I could send mine back in. I tried to dig a little deeper with them on what the issue was, all vie email. They wouldn't answer any specific questions and quit replying. I haven't sent it back in yet but plan to later this spring. The green tint seems to come and go a little bit for me, pretty strange.

Hope you guys get it figured out. I'm considering buying a Thermion XP50, but won't until they get this resolved.

I wouldn't let our two reports steer you away from Pulsar. I've scoured other forums and can't find any other green tint issues.

Also had zero questions asked both times I contacted customer service, I just had to pay the shipping back to their plant, but they covered return shipping I think.

. I connected the scope to WiFi and updated the firmware and that fixed it. I had the reticle color green and switched to red before the update which had no effect on the scope green color display. The green view is similar to looking thru old school night vision. The update did cure it for now. It’s an expensive scope so I understand how you feel, hope this helps.
