Pulled pork slaw

This is really good.
I triple the recipe for several people eating.

This works for me and is generally liked at our BBQ’s. I use agave syrup instead of sugar. 1/2tsp celery seed is too much for me and only use 1/4tsp. I do about 75/25 mix of green to red cabbage plus carrots and green onions.

I worked at a small bbq restaurant when I was in high school. We did pulled pork sandwiches with Carolina mustard based sauce and slaw on top. It was just cabbage, water, white vinegar, sugar, salt, and maybe some pepper. It was a long time ago but still my favorite compared to others I’ve had.
When I make a side of slaw with fried fish, I use a more traditional recipe with more ingredients like others have mentioned. I like it simple on a pulled pork sandwich though.

Whatever you do, add chipotles to your dressing and blend it up when you use that pulled pork in tacos the 2nd day.
That sounds pretty awesome. I prefer a jalapenos or tomatillo sauce on carnitas. But I admit that sounds pretty dang awesome.

All the bbq YouTubers have good recipes.

My wife got into the trim healthy mama cooking a while back and their recipe is one that stuck and is super easy.

Whichever you do, use Duke’s or don’t waste your time.

This is our current go to. Tasty and easy.

Really depends on what you like in your slaw. I don't care for a really sweet slaw, but like a creamy dressing.

I use Malcolm Reed's recipe from How To BBQ Right, but don't use any sugar. I may add a tablespoon or two of honey rather than the FULL MEASURING CUP of sugar his recipe calls for. I'll also add in a good shake of his BBQ rub as well. I generally eye-ball that and don't measure it.

Suits my tastes and I've gotten a lot of compliments on it.

I buy a large container of Hy Vee brand coleslaw and add a bag of shredded coleslaw mix. Mix well. Simple and I think it's really good.

When I cook I don’t really measure anything, I just go by sight and taste?
My recipe includes shredded cabbage, shredded carrot, mayo, sugar, cider vinegar, celery seeds, salt and pepper.
I believe that allowing it sit sit and marinate for a while is important.
I’m really sorry I just can’t tell you exact measurements…
Really simple and basic.

I learned how to make it from my mama and that’s how she does it so that’s how I do it. Mix it together and if it’s missing something, add a little more. Also agree with the letting it sit. Many times I’ve left it until the meats coming off the smoker to make and it’s definitely better when it’s made earlier.
