Great Illinois buck. Congrats. I could only find a nice fat doe opening day of gun season on the public I hunt in west central Illinois but she filled the freezer nicely. Saw some studs studs on the same piece during bow season but nothing in range.

Had this dude come by about 11:45am on Friday, cruising for does. My biggest buck so far! He was 45 yards and when the 12 gauge slug hit him he looked he’d been hit by a lightning bolt. Don’t have a scale but it was by far the most meat I’ve ever got from a deer.
