PRS rifle build. What would you do?

My original thought for the magnum sized cartridges was to run a shorter suppressed setup for maneuverability that could still make power factor in NRL hunter. But, the more I think about it, a longer barrel is better for balance and there’s a lot more PRS matches around me than NRL.

Maneuverability isn’t a huge concern in either NRL nor PRS, and even if that’s what you want it’s just going to cost you more in barrels, components and messing around at the range.

Hard to argue with a 6. Creed in a light or medium Palma barrel and an ACC with some light parts and some weights. I could do it all with that setup.

I am pretty much in the same boat. I got a Rem 700 ADL that I was going to have a gunsmith blueprint and rebarrel. But right before I went to ship it off, I found out that Bergara is selling their premier pro barrel actions in profiles from a heavy hunter to a PRS style contour. I have heard good things about the Bergara rifles for a while now, and with Remington Arms now ghosting most all their productions, I thought it was time to cut the ambilocal cord from Remington! I have been with them for over 30 years! Sad to see such an icon being flushed like the new company did. But I decided to go with a heavy contour of a 6mm Creedmoor and a MDT LSS Gen 3 chassis. I think I will also be investing in a 7 PRC as well, for the days I want to really stretch the legs of the range!

Get a howa 24-26in varmint barrelled action in 6 creed, krg bravo or mdt xrs stock/chassis, forend arca rail and have at it.
Its no fun competing with one hand tied behind your back, even if you don't actually care about being competitive.

It won't be as pretty or as smooth as something more expensive but it will definitely do the job.
