There are fewer reloading topics more disputed than the proper use of Tempilaq during the annealing process. A simple Google or YouTube search returns multiple processes, many from very reputable sources, on annealing with Tempilaq. All seem to claim their process works perfect for them though logic indicates the given outcomes would be vary greatly. I thought it would be interesting to ask you guys what your process is. For sake of argument we are talking about auto or manual annealing by use of flame.

Tempilaq on outside of necks?

Tempilaq on inside of neck?

640, 700 or 750 Tempilaq?

My process is 750 on the inside of the neck using an Annealeez. I have rarely ever seen a split neck after thousands upon thousands of cases.

So what say you?

I use 750 Templac on the inside of the neck, I manually anneal with a deep socket in my cordless drill, kind of a pain but I never get split necks on the brass I anneal. One of these days I’ll break down and get an annealeez.

I'll be watching this post closely, I haven't gotten to where I have to anneal, but expect that I will this summer. I got an annealeeze with the wheels appropriate for the 6.5prc and the Tempilaq fluid to dial it to the proper speeds, just haven't used it yet.
