Had a similar post yesterday on the Long Range Hunting thread. After some thinking I'll probably do either a proof elevation or custom build. As of now I'm just looking at some previous or current owner reviews of the proof elevation 2.0 rifle or other proof rifles in general. Thanks!

Have the elevation mtr and absolutely love it. You will not be dissatisfied. I shoot factory eldm and it stacks them right on top of each other. Stock/stock texture is amazing too.

Not the 2.0 but have a friend that has a 1st edition Elevation in .308. Other than caliber I'm not really sure what the difference is on the 2.0?? Anyway, I really liked shooting that rifle a lot, really like the stock since its a more traditional style stock but super lightweight. Anyway, the rifle shoot well and like I said I liked it a lot. Proof for a time listed them in 7MM-08 but I never actually found one so ended up building 2 "faux Elevation" rifles in 7MM-08:)

Shop around and maybe you can get a deal right now on one, for the price they are a really nice rifle with 1st class parts (y)

Here are the twin Faux Elevations, same parts just a different color stock on them.

My 7mm PRC Elevation is the most accurate rifle I own. I love it and I think you would too! I wish they made one in 6mm ARC.

Good to hear! I saw that it was the only rifle with Sub MOA instead of Sub half MOA but given the components it seems Proof just did that to justify the lower price point.

Those faux-Elevations look sweet! Do you find you have any issues with the less modern stock design (barrel rise, check weld, etc.) or not really?

No, not at all but I'm kinda an old guy that likes more traditional hunting stocks but made out of plastic;) In the field under actual hunting conditions that stock comes up perfect for me when I'm shooting at an animal. I mentioned the McMillan Classic Edge which used to be my favorite and still is mostly especially this rifle below. But I have to run a stock pack to get the right cheek weld on my scope even with low rings.
But for hunting IMHO its a fine stock - the Proof that is.
