Promaster 6160 head on a summit ss tripod ?

I have a summit ss tripod and a promaster 6160 head. Will they work together ? Will I break the summit head trying to get it off ? I tried to unscrew it a little while ago but the cheap screwdriver I had broke. It's not wanting to come out. Before I get a good screwdriver I thought I should ask if I'm wasting my time because it will not match up ? Has anyone tried this pair together ?

Should just be a 1/4x20 threaded stud holding the ball head on. Can you snap a quick pic. I dont have a summit ss on me.

Might have a dab of locktight on the stud. Take some channel locks and hold the lower ring and twist the head with your hand. I cant see anything that needs a screwdriver.
