With my rifle and ammo I will be carrying about 55 pounds. I am hunting with a guide for the first three days of the season, and then on my own for the next three. My thought is to cache my spotting scope and some of the other stuff the guide will have until I am on my own, thus reducing my load by ten pounds or so. If I have to pack out with a sheep on my own I am guessing I will have around 200 pounds of gear, meat, and horns. I plan to split the weight into three loads and stage them down the mountain in three or four mile stages.
