Primer Sealer

I often find myself out in a hours long and sometimes multi-day rain and I do my best to keep the equipment dry. However, despite never having an issue I still wonder if using Markron primer sealer would be beneficial. Or is it just a solution to an imaginary problem. It’s not like I’m submerging my ammo, I always have spare in ziplock bags. Thoughts?

If you carry your magazines in your plate carrier and you find yourself low crawling through creek beds you should probably use it.

If you keep your ammo dry, i think you’ll be fine.

Never been a problem, sometimes it gets real rainy here though. Enough to make me wonder.

I have been reloading for 65 years and have never used a sealer and never had a problem with wet ammo that wouldn't fire.

I started using it on my 5.56 reloads. I don’t feel like I need to, but its easy and doesn’t take long to do the 100s at a time that I reload. But, when this bottle runs out I probably won’t buy another.

I hunt in the rain quite a bit. I only carry 3 cartridges, but I might use them all year. I've had misfires after the season though! ( Might have been hunting with duds). I seal my hunting ammunition bullet and primer. I threw 5 reloads and 5 factory loads in a mud puddle. A week later all my sealed loads fired and printed on target. One factory round had water in it and it seems like one wasn't right. Bern a long time. So I seal my hunting ammunition. 50 at a time. These are older than many roksliders. Over 100 deer down with them.

Lake City isn't dumb I guess. So I seal.

If you are going to seal the primer then seal the bullet too.
