Did you buy the used bow from your dealer after shooting theirs? Or was it from a private party?

Private party... It was between the used on, Prime Rise and the Energy though...

I tried to get the dealer to give me a good deal on last years stock but they wanted $850 for the Synergy. I told them I could get them brand new all day long online for $675, so I would be willing to give them $700 for one (to support them) but they wouldn't budge.. Ended up finding one on ArcheryTalk, used 2015 with the Elite/QAD HDX rest for $525 shipped though. Ill throw a new string on it, tune it, and be done...

I just shot a full seasonal line up in Vancouver WA. Elite wasn't even on my radar. I bought an Energy 35.

My Energy 32 cost me $750 off craigslist with all the bells and whistles installed, even arrows and a case. Shop around.

I went looking late last year and ended up with an Elite Synergy after shooting A LOT of bows. The grip fit me better than anything else I shot and I absolutely loved the draw cycle. Very smooth shooter. But, I don't think you can go wrong with either.

I'm an amateur, but have spent the winter totally preoccupied with the Prime vs. Elite choice. Be mindful of draw length, the current Prime lineup maxes out at 30" There are two ways around this: One is the quiet announcement of a longer limbed Rival for 2016 that will draw to 31", but is basically unobtainium, the Prime dealer I talked to had no knowledge of this unicorn. Second solution is the one I chose, the 2011/2012 Centroid with PC#1 cams features a 31" draw. I just bought a used one. Note the 2011s ran heavy, mine is a boat anchor at 4.7 pounds.

The Rize is beautiful, amusingly its new riser material may be too stiff for the application, there's chatter about a unique twang from this bow. I liked the Elites very much, but was swayed to the Prime line by the engineering style. They're built like a Grumman made for carrier landings.

They aren't unobtainium. Your dealer just has to order one, it's even in their catalog. You can also order the longer limbs, and a flex guard from an ION and make a 31" draw Rize if you so desire. I know of someone who has done this already, so there's nothing unobtainable about it. Just have to make the calls.

Also, your the first person I've heard mention anything about a "twang" from a Rize. It's one of the quietest bows out, even without dampeners on it.

I have a rize, my first prime. The 82x riser isn't loud but the material does have a different pitch sound at the shot. Being unfamiliar I was quite anxious about this as its more audible to the shooter outdoors and I was unaware until I got home from the bow shop with my new toy and took it to my range on my property. First shot I was like wtf? Stu at prime informed me it's normal. Suddenly I was having a creeping bit of buyers remorse, particularly after interneting the matter. I finally downloaded a decibel meter and compared the rize to my chillr, they have exact same kit. After 50 shots each the prime was 1.5 db quieter. It's not a metallic twang, more like the sound of dart through a blow gun.

Frankly, given how well this bow shoots for me I really wouldn't care if it was louder. My long range groups beyond 70 are a smidge of what they once were. Thwack! Bull down

I Bought the Prime Rize this year. First Prime bow I have ever owned. Love the damn thing, The grip is MONEY!

My shoulders issues forced me to look at smoother draw bows and I shot a bunch. It came down to Elite and Prime, the grip is what sold me and the Rise just felt a smidgen more stable. I haven't found the noise to be anymore/less than my Hoyts or Mathews bows.
