Final Approach has 20D nylon ripstop jackets marked down to $50. It was $100. Pretty damn good deal for a jacket that has 150g of Primaloft evolve. Very similar to the Sitka Ambient Jacket.

Very warm and it’s become an every day wearer of mine. I still own my Sitka Ambient Hoodies however, for the price tag of this jacket it’s definitely well worth the $50 bucks.

weight? I saw you sold one is the sizing weird? I am 6'0 195 and kind of in between large and XL. my ambient is XL but I could squeeze into a large if I lost a little more weight

@bojangles808 Im not sure on the weight. Pretty light though. Not any heavier than Sitka. I’m an XL and bought an XL. The fit was good however, if you were layering underneath it with like a vest or a merino wool heavyweight than maybe you’d want to size up.

The final approach website says one of the chest pockets is magnetic. Is that accurate? How does the xl fit? I am 6’2” 220. Usually wear a large. I was thinking an xl would fit.

Yes the pocket is magnetic. Very magnetic . Snaps closed with an audible snap lol

I haven’t weighed it, but it’s surprisingly light. The zipper adds some weight over an ambient hoody I have. Seems a little thicker than ambient as well. I’m 6’6 200 and wear a Sitka XLT. I ordered a 2x and it’s a tad loose around waist but still fits well.

Got mine in today. Ordered a size large. I'm generally between a medium and a large. Length is definitely on the shorter side and it's a bit snug for a large. No cinch on the waist which is a bummer but overall seems to be a very well made jacket. $50 is a phenomenal deal. Testing it on the ski slopes today.

I'd go 2x based on the sizing of the large I received.

I was expecting prima loft, but this is a kind of fleece- prima loft 'active'. Not what is was expecting and heavier than I expected. For $50 prob still a keeper if it cuts wind OK.
