Just bought a pair to scurry around for my next hunts through November. Going to run them at the gym the next two days and as temps fall they will be my go to boot to fill some tags..there awfully pretty so I hate to get them dirty
Several more good days in these boots. Feet remained dry and warm in varying conditions from deep snow to rain. They will get some good use this winter shed hunting
No solid base 36 degrees and light rain a mess it was only crazy elk hunters would love that
The outdry waterproof membrane kept my feet dry the four hours I was shoeing along with solid ankle support in some stupid steep terrain.
Boots continue to shed water very well standing in this small stream with no issues later in the day after four plus hours in wet snow was able to get my feet damp...imagine some from sweat covering miles they continue to provide very good lateral support on my ankles which is very important in a lot of loose snow.following a small bear this time of year is highly unusual and does not bode well for this non hibernator.
been doing this climb for over a decade with my trusty lab Magnum pictured two years ago, but is too old to even get close to sniffing this hillside. Great view and workout, but not as much fun without my compadre and no luck on the sheds but will hit it again in a few weeks. On wolf track on my way. Got sweated up pretty good in the boots yesterday as there was no sitting. Loving the stiff sole in difficult country and on the shoes they are providing solid ankle support on some rough angles! For a boot that provides added warmth with 600 gr of thinsulate they are still reasonable on the weight scale to not make you think you are stuck in cement.
And if I was hunting a change of socks would have been along but never felt a river in my boot or issues for blisters. This day was in the low thirties with deep wet snow and a gentle vertical climb
