Anyone with any experience with “Preferred Barrel Blanks” prefit carbon barrels ? Are they worth buying? Quality? Accuracy?

I've not purchased a barrel from them, but in the past they responded quickly to my inquiries, and I know lots of guys on here have had good performance with their non carbon prefits.

I called PBB and left a message, that I had a few questions about there carbon fiber barrels. Marshal called me back about an hour later and just blew my Mind. He asked if I would like to FaceTime and look at the options they had for carbon fiber barrels, blew my mind. I was sold at FaceTime , that’s real custom service. I ordered two barrels just because of his character. I’ll let you know how they shoot in 8-10 weeks.

I had a couple calls with their Customer Service rep, (Mason). Had some good conversations, and I was definitely encouraged by their quality of customer service on the phone. There’s some older posts on Rokslide about their quality and real-word reviews…those posts and member feedback definitely convinced me to give them a try. I put an order in for a 6.5mm variant in 1:8 twist on a carbon barrel a few weeks back, I can will report back in about 8-10 weeks with how it shoots and first impressions!

I purchased 2 CB from preferred barrel, 7 Saum and 28 nosler.
7 Saum puts 5 Berger in the same hole and the 28 nosy shoots 1/2 MOA. I would buy preferred CB barrel again.

I got a 308 barrel from them. It was a slow shooter for sure. Like waaay slower than other 308 barrels i've had in the past

Mine is steel, shoots great. I can't speak to the carbon. in my experience, the carbons can be much more hit and miss for all brands. My PROOF cf barrels have shot well. My non PROOF carbon barrel has been a big struggle.

Mason with PB is top notch. I have ordered multiple barrels and a complete barred action and all have shot very well.

The carbon typically shoot as well as the steel. And, the steel shoot very good.

@hereinaz do you order barrels to keep in stock? Or do you mostly do group buys?

We were doing more group buy the first year, now we are moving towards stocking them. I have a bunch of 22 creed in stock, a few 6 creed, and more on order. Right now, 6 creed, 6 ARC, 22 ARC, and 6 UM are on order. I will be making another for more 6 creed, 22 creed, 223 wylde or AI.

We are finalizing how we will set up our store, how we will sell, etc. Group buys with the changes and customization can get pretty crazy, lol.

Also, we have actions to pair and sell more barreled actions.

I have two barrels from them. 300Wm and 260AI both are tikka prefits. They shoot fantastic, but I don’t have any experience with other barrel brands. If I decide to do another rifle build I wouldn’t hesitate to buy from preferred. I thought about going with the carbon prefit but I had a limited budget. Regardless, I would feel very confident with that purchase
