Christiansen mpr hasn't let me down yet! Not big money but it's a great shooter.

R 700 in 223, stainless/fluted 26” barrel. A bit heavy but a very comfortable shooter for me.

I seldom ever go predator hunting. Have shot coyote's with my old 308, an old 7mm Rem Mag, 7x57, 6.5x06, 25-06, and a 243. They all have something in common, place the bullet right and the coyote dies! I some times think about getting another 222 Rem but I don't hunt varmints that much either. The 243 I have today was bought with one thing in mind, coyotes! But never carried it coyote hunting. Got a 75gr V-Max load worked up in it that shoots great! probably as close as I'll ever get to shooting a coyote with it. I think the problem is unless I'm really down for some reason, coyotes simply look to much like a dog to me! I love dogs, all dogs! I suspect if I though I could really tame a wolf, I'd get one! That 243 I have is a Mossberg Patriot. Main reason I got it was it was inexpensive and I'm pretty tight! Figured if I had something like that I might take up coyote hunting, dog keeps getting in the way!

Would really like to have a Rem 788 in 222 Rem again. It was great shooting ground squirrels years ago with! Probably the most accurate rifle I ever owned!

Where at in MT? There's a shop in Jordan that does very good work, have had him cut and thread 3 tikkas so far with the 4th there now.
Helena. Funny enough, over the winter I started working at a shop here and had the smith cut and thread it. With hand loads that rifle shoots .36 5-shot groups with 77TMK’s

One for hikin', one for sittin'

Kimber is a .223 that will pull double duty as a woods and mountain deer rifle, Stag is a bull barreled 5.56, 24" pipe!

The one that usually goes out (picture was last weekend out playing with the Molinator). I do have a T3x in .223 off getting threaded that will also get used for yotes.PXL_20240726_204752228.jpg

Brand new rig, brought it home a few weeks ago. JP built rifle in .223 Wylde, NXS 2.5-10 scope. I tried a few different factory loads and found the Black Hills 77gr TMK shot best with consistent 1/2 groups.
