Any of your friends reload? Maybe buy components and a case of beer and hang out while they roll them for you? You don’t necessarily need a reloading setup if a good buddy has one. I’ve been known to load up some ammo for a friend. Maybe they would show you how and let you use theirs to load up a seasons worth at one time.

22lr, mostly. Rifle matches the feel including trigger pull on my hunting rifle perfectly- T1x/t3x. Dirt cheap to shoot, and great trigger control practice. A trip to the range now is typically 100-150 through the 22, and 3-6 through my hunting rifle. My consistency has markedly improved. I see almost all my hits with the hunting rifle now- used to be rare. I credit that to watching 22s in flight (surprisingly easy when you stretch it out to 200+, though if the light is right I see them at 50, too). Rifle pays for itself with ammo savings, plus it is fun to shoot.
