I tried searching but I don’t even know how to term my question :D
I am in the process of putting together my beginner set up, and need an obvious way to dispense and weigh powder.
Beam scale- looked at RCBS, over a $100.00. Similar offerings from the other reloading outfits look to be near the same price.

Electronic powder dispenser/weighing - Lyman and RCBS have units around $300.00. I’ve read I still need a beam scale to check loads.

Trickler - is any brand better than the other? Would a reasonable priced one be fine?

Digital pocket scale - another guy told me to stay away from these to weigh and check loads. They seem pretty popular though?

Here’s the big issue, I need to be able to store any of the above when not in use. We live in a tiny apartment for now. How sensitive is any of this stuff to moving around. I had planned to use original packing to keep the items in.

I only have experience with my autotrickler so I'm spoiled. I'm moving next week and the autotrickler/scale will accompany me on the cross country drive, as opposed to in the u-pack trailer

I bought an RCBS Chargemaster 1500 about 12 years ago. It's still going strong (and has survived a couple of cross country moves). It's worked great over the years.

I bought a beam scale a few years ago during the pandemic just to have something I didn't need to rely on electricity for. I tried it a couple of times, but that's it. Sits in the box on the shelf.

I have the Hornady auto charge.
I bought it on sale, and got free bullets with it.
Its more accurate than I am.
It’s one of those purchases that makes a significant improvement in your quality of life while reloading.

If I am really wanting to crank out charges fast I use a powder thrower with a really short grain or ball powder. It also is more accurate than I am.

I have the hornady auto dispenser. It’s $350, hasn’t failed me yet. My rifles are shooting single digit es and sd’s I’m pretty sure Jim from backfire has a YouTube video comparing RCBS, LYMAN, FRANKFORD ARSENAL, and HORNADY. Hornady was the most consistent with his experiment.
