Looking to get a set of cooking pots/pans for back pack cooking. I will be using a campfire or propane burner. Not really interested in the all in one jetboils or prefab meals.

Do you guys have any suggestions for a good set for backpacking for actual cooking meals?

Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

Toaks, or something else titanium.

I had a GSI none stick set and it was good, but I don't like having to baby the coating.

MSR steel pans are heavy compared to Ti, but not bad pans.

Toaks 1100ml pot comes with a pan as a lid, it’s been decent for frying a single egg when I tested it at home. Also did some small venison chunks in it in the field.,

Are you cooking for more than 1? T-fal made 2 sizes of lightweight sets several years ago. The larger is definitely not backpack sized but the smaller might be an option if you are looking to cook larger amounts. eBay is probably the only option for finding one. You could buy the larger set and only carry what you see fitting your needs. T-fal Bivouac is what you want to search for if this is interesting.

One Ti pot is all you need. Almost everything I cook backpacking is a single pot meal, or boiled water for drinking or to add to instant oatmeal or for tea. I don't do freeze dried meals but do use FD meat to add to rice or pasta and dehydrated veggies. In years past I have taken along an aluminum frying pan and foil to cook cornbread in the coals of a campfire, but not when bkpk hunting. That one Ti pot will work on a stove or campfire.
