I absolutely love the 280ai! I am having a custom rifle built in 280ai and while I’m impatiently waiting for my rifle to be finished I thought it would be cool to see everyone else’s set ups.

I will post my rifle in this thread ounce its finished.

Built on a pre 64 Model 70 action , Lilja Fwt barrel @23" MCM edge stock , Williams BM and Zeiss 3-9 Diavari scope.

I have recently switched out the scope and ditched the sling on this guy. Love shooting it and it has so little recoil that I can watch impact. Here’s my build info…

Bipod (Not attached/weighed)- Spartan Precision Javelin Lite Bipod (5 oz)

It really likes factory terminal ascents in the 155s, 160 ABs, Berger 168s and I’m trying to work on a 175 ELDX load. Really hopeful I can get something to work with that bullet…

Nice to hear about your success with factory ammo. My custom 280ai should be done in November. I have 2 boxes 155 TSs,1 box of Nolser 140 BTs, 1 box of 160ABs, and 50 Nosler brass. Looking forward to see what my 280ai likes.

I had a Remington 700 KS clone built in 280 AI:

• LH SS Remington 700 donor action from a 700 LSS in 30-06
• McMillan KS stock
• 8 twist Benchmark KS contour barrel
• TriggerTech Special trigger

The bolt was done by Karl Feldkamp (fluting and extractor). Chris Brown at Long Range Customs put it together. Cerakoting was done by Unknown Munitions. I topped it with Talleys and a Trijicon 3-9 Accupoint. It shoots 160 gr Accubonds into little tiny groups and it is really nice to carry.

Tikka t3x action. Ibi carbon 22", stockys vg2, vortex razor lht. It shoots and carries well. Took a bear as well as a moose with it this year.

Nice pic. My new rifle will have Stocky Carbon Fiber VG2 as well but in Viper Urban.

Nice rifles. What grain bullet does everyone use? And what brand?

For midrange I tend to use the 150 gr nosler ballistic tips, excellent deer round but a bit lacking in the BC department. For extended range I use the 168 berger VLDs and 162 Amax.

I may work up a load with the 162 ELDm at some point as I'm about out of the old Amax stash.

I've been mostly shooting 165 sierra tgk but it also likes 168lrx and 180eldm. Actually it shoots pretty much everything fairly well.

Very nice SCHUNTER73. I got the Talley Mounts with level on mine.
