It's some heavy ass drywall then. I've helped move a few cheapo gun safes and they feel very flimsy compared to mine.Fire rating is another way of charging you for a sheet of drywall.

This is the answer if you want a real safe and not a locking cabinet. There is nothing wrong with a locking cabinet as long as you are aware that’s what you’re purchasing. They will slow someone down, that is it. Fire rating, pretty colors, size, from the locking cabinet manufacturers are useless if you’re looking for an actual safe. Have to weigh the cost/benefit of stepping up to a real safe though, they don’t always make sense. If you are worried about the lock, retrofit the safe with a Kaba Mas X-10.
For a safe, get a Brown, AMSEC, or Graffunder.
Or, don't worry about it. Liberty makes over priced toys anyway (along with most companies that sell "gun safes").
X2 or Kodiak Safes out of Fresno, CA makes quality stuff…Sturdy Safe. Thick steel, not thin sheets.
I hate to swim against the tide on a good conspiracy theory but honestly, if the government wants to get in your safe, they will. Codes, saws, torch. They will. What safe would you buy ?
We have had a Securit since 2017 and it's one of my best purchases. They have more than doubled in price, but we are in and out of it several times a day. I'd also consider one of the hornady compact rapid safes as well.Give this podcast a listen. It changed my perspective on firearms storage and I would choose SecurIt.
