So, I shot a Matthews Drenalin for 6 or 7 years with great success, and had a really hard time switching. A couple years ago , I decided I wanted to upgrade to the "latest and greatest", and the Bowtech RPM 360 had just come out, so after a test run I got one. One thing I really liked was that I seemed to get the same performance at 60lbs from it as I did @ 70lbs with my solocam. After 2 years with it, I'm not in love with it. Have had good success with it as well, but it is real heavy and not really forgiving sometimes. My brother in law just got a carbon icon and I was shooting his the other day, and was blown away at how dead in the hands it felt vs what I thought it would feel like, and it shot very very well. Thinking of trading off the rpm and getting one, but was told it was a downgrade, and I know nothing about the little g term performance of those carbon bows. What do you guys think??

I understand both sides of it and I personally don't think its much of a downgrade. The carbon icon is a great value and I absolutely hate the RPM. I would actually chose the icon over the RPM if you were to give me either one. I would look around at other brands as well.

Solid reply, thanks. Never shot an Elite, but saw some the other day when I was in town. Opinions?

If you want a little more forgiving bow id look at the Experience and the Prodigy, both ive had and really liked. The Icon grip is a good bit different then other bowtechs i believe, but if you like it then i dont think its a downgrade.

Elites are nice bows as well.

Couldn't agree more

I recently picked one up but it's not quite set up yet so I may be of little help. I like the weight, balance, powershift, smoothness and adjustability. For me, it's an upgrade and a good setup for my style of hunting.

If you like a bow more than the one you have now, then it's never a downgrade.

this! shoot what feels good to you. elite energy 32 and bowtech experience are some other nice used bows i think you would like. both are quiet with good speed and a nice valley and fun to shoot
