Got mine today. For $50 it’s a no brainer. Decent quality and a well laid out kit. If it needs a longer or wider pipe that should be an easy tweak. It’s really seems quite good for the money. I’ll certainly need to burn it in and test it before I take it on a hunt but I have high hope for it.

Haven’t received mine yet. Saw one guy in a review that made two relief cuts with an angle grinder in one end of each section of pipe. Gave enough flex then where they didn’t stick together after his first burn. Seems to be a pretty common issue. Will probably do that with mine when it gets here.

I was thinking the same. It would be a really quick and easy tweak.

The picture I saw was two vertical cuts in the pipe. As far as length of cuts I would assemble the pipes mark how far they seat together, disassemble and cut to just below the mark so cuts are not exposed when assembled.

Cutting some slots to allow for some thermal expansion is a good tip. The pipes getting stuck together, and the stove not venting properly were the two main complaints I've seen in reviews. Hoping we can solve those as a group!

I really think it'll be a perfectly serviceable stove with(or maybe without) a tweak or two. I'd dealt with the stupid round titanium offerings in the past and this looks way nicer for use in our 12 man tipi. Heck, it might be enough stove to use in the wall tent instead of lugging around the big Davis stove. At least for September/October hunts.

I have one we used in a 10 x 20 wall tent for a September elk hunt and I won't use it again.Even if it weren't for the other issues it just wasn't big enough to heat the tent.Also I got tired of having to try to take the pipes apart to clean them and I had to leave the top section off because it just got clogged.

Received mine today. Already know I need to tap and die the front legs. Threads are all screwed up and don’t want to cross thread it.

Mine all went together fine. Everything was tight and put together well. I see no issues at first glance. I went ahead and make some relief cuts on both end ( only 2 cuts per side on opposite sides). I used a jig saw with a metal blade. I then used a angle grinder and a file to clean up the cuts as well as the inside and outside edges. I plan to do a burn in this weekend and put the pipes together with 1600 degree high temp anti seize. I'll report back if I can get that done.... weather permitting. It had been dumping rain in SW Idaho.
