Portable Camp Stoves at Lowes

Legend did some good looking mods I might have to try. As others said i dont want to spend a ton on pipe though. I do have titanium pipe from my tipi stove but I'd rather not use that. This is the "cheapest, possibly best option" I've found. Not sure how it would work though. Might grab it and try it out.

For that price i would try this for packability/storage purpose.. Im not sure about durability versus a traditional stove pipe

Right idea. But I wouldn't go any less than 3 inch diameter.
Hmm youre right I went off the 11" ...I know seek uses 11.7" wide titianium foil. Im sure there has to be an economical place to source it at 12" wide.

Ill check around.

Edit: for 9' this isnt a bad deal https://winnerwell.us/collections/fastfold-titanium/products/titanium-stove-pipe-replacement

i also wonder if you could just source a roll of 12" wide stainless shim stock like this https://www.ebay.com/itm/1155210005...044&customid=0e7c848ff06916f6a47ce30fd49ac58b

Alrighty y'all - I have made the decision to move on from this "project" stove. I already have another truck-camping stove of a similar size that I'm very happy with, and feel like I'd need to invest more money than I'm willing to with this Lowe's stove. I did cut a ~2.3" hole for a chimney and replaced the door hinge rivets with bolts, but otherwise this is still stock.

So, I'm offering it up for FREE to a fellow Rokslider! With one caveat - I am not shipping this thing, so it'll have to be a local pickup here in Salt Lake City. The Western Hunt Expo is next week though, and I live only 10 minutes away from the convention center - go to the Expo and then come get a free wood stove project!

First to comment "dibs" gets it - please don't call dibs unless you're 100% committed to taking it in a timely fashion though.

What’s the general consensus? A buddy of mine bought one and is considering taking it this fall. Is he wasting his time, he has a small tipi.

If you don't modify the chimney size it won't work very well. Better test it.

So 3” chimney with a damper. Any other mods for this one? What’s the guess in a burn time. We have never used a stove before in a tent and just trying to get an expectation before we run it through the paces. Thanks

I am not as nice as BroccoliRob but if anyone wants one of these, I have one I will sell for the 45 bucks I paid for it. Brand new in the box. Located in Cache Valley, Utah. Won’t ship and I avoid going any farther south than I am.
