Pope & Young Policy Change--Velvet hunters can rejoice

Rokslide member @bohntr sent me this press release from earlier this year. He's with P&Y and was instrumental in implementing this change.

Velvet will now be treated the same as Hard-Antlered when it comes to listing.

Many bowhunts occur during velvet season but hunters had to strip to stay on all-time list, something many weren't willing to do.

This move could keep P&Y more relevant to more hunters.

Many hunters will be happy about this, but some will not.

Personally I’m good with taping the buck out knowing it meets the standard and leaving it at that. Just my 1/2 cent.
